Formats
Preserve what the format supports
JPG remains JPG. PNG and WebP keep transparent pixels where the cropped area contains them. Browser orientation is applied before crop coordinates are used.
Privacy
No image data is transmitted
The preview is a local object URL and the crop is drawn to an in-memory canvas. The source, filename, preview, and download remain on your device.
Uses and limits
Reframe an image without inventing detail
Prepare profile pictures, thumbnails, document areas, and fixed-ratio graphics. Cropping removes pixels outside the selection; it does not enlarge, compress, or convert the remaining image.
