By using FileIvy, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. FileIvy is a free, browser-based utility offered without an account.
What FileIvy provides
FileIvy provides tools that compress, resize, and convert supported files locally in your browser. Results can vary by browser, device, source file, format, and codec support. Features may be improved, changed, suspended, or removed.
Your files and responsibilities
- You keep ownership of your files and generated results.
- You must have the right to use and modify every file you process.
- Keep an original backup and inspect the result before deleting or replacing important files.
- Do not use FileIvy to violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy, security, or the rights of another person.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer for abuse, or bypass security protecting the service.
Local processing
File operations are designed to run in your browser rather than upload your file content to FileIvy. Your browser and device still control local memory, downloads, extensions, and operating-system behavior. You are responsible for the security of your own device and downloaded files.
No professional advice
FileIvy is a general file utility. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, archival, print-production, forensic, accessibility-certification, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it as the only method for preserving evidence, color accuracy, metadata, or regulated records.
No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, FileIvy is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every file, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, FileIvy and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
Third-party software
Some file formats rely on open-source codecs and libraries. Their required attributions and licences are available in the codec notices.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
