Resize by pixels

Choose an exact width and height

Enter the output dimensions in pixels. Aspect ratio is locked by default, so changing one side updates the other and Fit inside keeps the complete image visible without cropping.

Resize by percentage

Scale both dimensions together

Use a quick percentage or enter a custom value from 1% to 800%. Percentage mode always preserves the image proportions.

Downscale and upscale

Smaller is sharper than artificially larger

FileIvy uses the browser’s high-quality image sampling. Downscaling prioritizes clarity. Upscaling is allowed, but enlarging an image cannot create new detail and may make it look softer. FileIvy does not use AI upscaling.

Formats and orientation

Keep the original image format

JPEG stays JPEG, PNG stays PNG with transparency, and still WebP stays WebP when the browser can encode it reliably. FileIvy applies browser-supported EXIF orientation consistently and never silently converts the file.

Privacy and common questions

Your image stays on your device

Selection, validation, preview, resizing, comparison, and download happen locally in this browser tab. Re-encoding normally removes EXIF and other metadata; when dimensions do not change and FileIvy keeps the original file, existing metadata may remain.
